About Jester

Jester is a stunning young boy who came to us for rehoming after we were contacted by a vet to say he had been taken there to be put to sleep!! Upon talking with the owner, it was clear that Jester hadn't done much wrong, and some bad advice meant that they ended up at the vets! Thankfully we had some space available and Jester came to us to find a new home.

Whilst in his previous home, Jester had to spend time at a relatives farm with 5 other dogs... one of which he clashed with on several occasions resulting in fights! The other dog was bigger than Jester and would try to dominate him... Jester didn't take kindly to that behaviour!

Whilst with us we have found Jester to be a delight, he's very friendly.. and his whole body wiggles with excitment when he greets you! He seems eager to learn as he's a bright spark, and would flourish in a new home that can commit the time into training him.

Jester loves to run and play with his toys.. it's quite comical watching him bound around like a giant puppy! He will need a  home with plenty of space for him to expel some of his energy, after all he is a youngster with a big character! He is very strong to walk, especially when he sees another dog when he can react by barking and pulling.  He does love to be out and about and will benefit from a home with a garden where there is plenty of space for him to get rid of some energy and where he can go for long walks without encountering too many other canines!

We're not sure of Jesters genetic make-up, there may be some labrador.. but his size suggests a cross with something quite a bit larger!

He can live with children aged 8 years and over, however he needs to be the only dog in the home, given his past and he cannot live with cats.
