The Ark Rescue & Rehoming Centre, Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Our charity receives no government or lottery support and we are reliant on our own efforts to meet the costs of our work. One of our main sources of income is through our very active programme of fundraising events.
Our hardworking fundraising team are enthusiastic and dedicated but the more help they can get the more they can accomplish. Can you help them with some of these essential tasks...?
Help at our monthly Open Days either by preparing for it (e.g. cleaning, baking cakes for the tearoom, sorting bric a brac) or on the day by serving in the tearoom, helping in the kitchen, helping on one of our stalls. Click below for our events calendar.
Help at one of our other fundraising events such as shaking a collecting tin at one of our many supermarket collections, or at our Ashbourne Flag Day.
Help publicise our events by putting up a poster in your area. Click below to download our current event poster.
Help by donating new items as prizes for our tombolas or Grand Raffle or good quality items of bric-a-brac and clean modern books (please note that we can no longer accept electrical items).
Help by organising your own fund raising event (if required we can help with collecting tins, paperwork promoting our charity, display boards showing the work we do etc). An event could be anything from a table top sale, quiz night, your own sponsored event such as slim, swim, silence, run or something as simple as instead of having birthday or anniversary presents asking your friends to make a donation to us. Help get sponsorship for some of our annual sponsored events:
Annual Sponsored Walk
Annual Christmas Dinner Appeal
Annual Grand Raffle - we would love help with selling the books of tickets
Watch our News page to see when sponsorship forms are available for download, and to see when our books of raffle tickets are available. If you are unable to do any of the above you could still help our fundraising by coming along to one of our Open Days or by buying goods from our stand at one of the many shows we attend. The more help we can get, the more help we can give to cats and dogs in need.
