CAN I COME TO LIVE WITH YOU ?
Some Of Our Cats And Kittens That Are Looking For Loving Homes
These are some of our current feline residents, young and old, and we hope one of them might appeal to you. If you would like to know more about any of them, please call one of our re-homing officers on 01335 300494, 345318 or 344765. Please note that, other than on our regular Open Days, visits to The Ark are by prior appointment.
Before re-homing, all our cats are normally micro-chipped, wormed, vaccinated, neutered or spayed and seen by a vet before re-homing. We home many kittens, often too young to be micro-chipped or neutered whilst at The Ark, in which case arrangements will be made to do this at a later date. We normally ask for a donation of £50 for a cat or kitten from the new owner, to help pay for the high standards of care that we provide. SPECIAL APPEAL …Whizz & Sparkle.
Sparkle and Whizz were brought into the Ark in the Summer at about 9 weeks old and had never been handled by humans. Their mum had been abandoned and left to fend for herself by a callous owner who simply went away and left her and several other cats behind. Fortunately, a concerned neighbour rescued the cats from their plight. Since their arrival at the Ark, Sparkle and Whizz have slowly learnt to trust and enjoy human contact. They are beautiful young female cats who love to play and be stroked but will still very easily take fright and run away. Consequently, they are looking for an experienced owner who will allow them to continue to progress at their own pace. They will, of course, want to stay together as they are very attached to each other. They are also happy in the company of other cats. We are able to offer back-up support from an experienced cat socialiser to any one taking on the sisters.
