These are some of our current canine residents and we hope one of them might appeal to you. Please note that, other than on our regular Open Days, visits to The Ark are by prior appointment.
Before re-homing, all our dogs are normally micro-chipped, wormed, vaccinated, neutered or spayed and seen by a vet. We normally ask for a donation of £95 for a dog from the new owner, to help pay for the high standards of care that we provide. For more detailed adoption information, please click here.

APPEAL FOR POPPY
When this pretty Whippet cross arrived at The Ark in August 2007 she was terrified of everything, especially men. She had to be approached very carefully to put her lead on and often took much coaxing, then once outside she had little idea of how to behave on a lead. Poppy now greets all her friends enthusiastically when they come to walk her, allows them to put her harness on without any problems and doesn’t seem to mind which sex they are. She has great fun playing with footballs in the compounds, dashing around ‘hell for leather’ for five minutes and loves to cuddle up on the Doghouse sofa. Poppy has found a “joie de vivre” which she had never had before so it’s high time she found a new home where she can carry on developing her happy, lively nature and become a very special faithful friend.
