We hope that every cat coming into our care quickly finds a loving new home but, for various reasons, some are not so fortunate. Sometimes this can be because the cat is a bit of a “plain Jane”, or is timid and does not come forward to signal “take me” to visitors like the more extrovert cats. However, from time to time, we have cats with particular issues, such as veterinary problems, age or age-related illness. We never give up on these cats but, since they need a very special sort of home, this can mean that they remain with us for a very long time.

 

If you feel that you could give one of these cats the special care they need, we would love to hear from you. If the cat has any on-going veterinary problems, then we can often help with the costs, so this need not be a major worry. Nevertheless, we recognise that not everybody is able to take on such a challenge, so there is another way you could help them. We give them all the best of care and attention at The Ark, which costs a lot of money and can be for a lengthy period. Would you consider sponsoring one of these lovely cats?

 

You will receive a certificate with a photo and information about your chosen cat, you can visit on Open Days and, as you will also be given free membership of the Society for the duration of your sponsorship, you will read about him or her in our regular Newsletter. If he or she finds a new home, you will have the choice of ending your sponsorship or switching to another of our extra special cats.

 

The certificates make ideal birthday and Christmas presents. If you would like to give the gift of sponsorship to a friend, we would be happy to arrange it.
