DOGGONE IT – I’M STILL WAITING !!
…..….SPONSOR A LONG-STAY DOG
IT’S EASY TO DO AND COSTS ONLY £2.00 PER MONTH
We hope that every dog coming into our care quickly finds a loving new home but, for various reasons, some are not so fortunate. Sometimes this can be because the dog is a bit of a “plain Jane”, or is timid and cannot compete with the more extrovert dogs that bark “take me” to all the visitors. However, from time to time, we have dogs with particular problems, to do with temperament, behaviour or simply that they are a particular breed. We never give up on these dogs but, since they need a very special sort of home, this can mean that they remain with us for a very long time.
If you feel that you could give one of these dogs the special home that they need, we would love to hear from you. However, we recognise that not everybody is able to take on such a challenge, so there is another way you could help them. We give them all the best of care and attention at The Ark, which costs a lot of money and can be a lengthy period. Would you consider sponsoring one of these lovely dogs?
You will receive a certificate with a picture and information about your chosen dog, you can visit on Open Days and, as you will also be given free membership of the Society for the duration of your sponsorship, you will be able to read about him or her in our regular Newsletter. If he or she finds a new home, you will have the choice of ending your sponsorship or switching it to another of our extra special dogs.
The certificates make ideal birthday or Christmas presents. If you would like to give the gift of sponsorship to a friend, we would be happy to arrange it.
Please do consider helping us in this way. Payment can either be by monthly standing order or by cheque for the annual amount. If you need any more information, please leave a message on 01335 300494 or by email (click here) and we will get back to you.
Name: Snoopy
Sex: Male
Details: My name is Snoopy and I came to The Ark in August 2009 having been picked up as a stray. I’m a cheerful chap and have lots of energy. I love my walks and there is nothing better than a good game of chase the ball with some of my dog walker friends. I think I’m a bit of a favourite with some of them and I must admit I do like to be around people. What I don’t like is other dogs and I confess that I get rather het up if they come too close. I even have my own special quarters at The Ark away from the hurly burly of the main kennels. I had such noisy neighbours I just had to move! What I really need is somebody who wants just me as their companion and in return I’ll give them all my love. So, until that special person comes along ………
